- Sono tornati stamattina al PalaEvangelisti capitan Vujevic e compagni in vista del prossimo turno di campionato domenica a Monza. Domani sera test con la compagine chiusina, società da tempo vicina a quella del presidente Sirci e capolista del proprio girone di serie B1. Al centro dei pensieri di Grbic e della squadra la conquista, da qui alla fine della stagione regolare, del quarto posto -
È tornata oggi al lavoro la Sir Safety Credito Cooperativo Umbro Perugia.I Block Devils si sono ritrovati al PalaEvangelisti per intraprendere la preparazione al prossimo incontro di SuperLega in programma domenica a Monza. Grbic ed il suo staff hanno valutato con la squadra gli aspetti negativi della sconfitta di domenica in casa con Treia, analizzando al tempo stesso il programma da impostare per consentire un buon recupero psicofisico ai ragazzi, reduci da un periodo di super lavoro tra campionato e Champions.
La squadra si è presentata motivata in vista del rush finale di stagione ed in queste settimane, come ha ribadito anche ieri Grbic, potrà allenarsi con maggiore continuità durante la settimana per arrivare in forma ai playoff che prenderanno il via il prossimo 12 aprile.
In settimana per capitan Vujevic è prevista anche un’amichevole. Domani sera, con inizio alle ore 19, la Sir sarà infatti di scena al PalaEstra di Siena per un test con l’Emma Villas Chiusi, società da tempo vicina a quella del presidente Sirci, prima in classifica nel proprio girone di serie B1, seria indiziata al salto di categoria e compagine di ottimo livello con tanti giocatori con un passato in serie A come ad esempio Scappaticcio, Spescha, Di Marco, Braga, Lipparini, Grassano e l’ex bianconero Pochini.
Un evento, quello promosso dalla società chiusina, davvero piacevole e da seguire con interesse con tante iniziative per i tifosi che precederanno l’inizio della partita ed un test assolutamente utile per Perugia con Grbic che potrà dare spazio a tutti gli effettivi della rosa e provare soluzioni e situazioni tecnico-tattiche utili in vista della trasferta di Monza, crocevia fondamentale in ottica quarto posto.
Proprio la sfida con Verona per la quarta poltrona della regular season è al centro dei pensieri della squadra. Tre le giornate che mancano alla fine del campionato per Perugia, a quota 42 punti, che avrà di fronte le trasferte di Monza e Molfetta ed il derby casalingo con Città di Castello del 29 marzo al PalaEvangelisti. Verona invece, attualmente a quota 44, scenderà in campo due volte dovendo osservare il turno di riposo previsto dal calendario proprio domenica prossima per poi affrontare in casa la capolista Modena e, nell’ultima giornata, la trasferta a Sansepolcro.
Conti alla mano, con tre vittorie piene, quindi con nove punti, la Sir arriverebbe sicuramente quarta. Molto più complicato il calcolo in caso di risultati differenti perché le due squadre hanno finora lo stesso numero di sconfitte (7, con Verona che ha una vittoria in più avendo giocato una gara in più) ed in pratica lo stesso quoziente set (50 vinti e 31 persi per gli scaligeri, 50 vinti e 30 persi per i bianconeri), ragion per cui ogni singolo parziale da qui alla fine sarà importantissimo per definire la posizione finale.
Ma per i Block Devils adesso è fondamentale soprattutto ritrovare smalto e brillantezza e tornare ad esprimere quel gioco piacevole e concreto ammirato fino ad una settimana fa. Con questo obiettivo si allenerà la squadra che vuole essere protagonista da qui alla fine della stagione.

The Block Devils met in the PalaEvangelisti to begin the preparation for the next SuperLega match, scheduled for this coming Sunday in Monza. Grbic and his staff went over the negative aspects of last Sunday’s defeat against Treia, played on the home field. They also analyzed the program they should set up to allow a good psychophysical recovery for the players, back from a quite intense period, between the season and Champions League.
The team arrived motivated, in view of the final rush of the season. From now on, they will be able to train, as Grbic reaffirmed yesterday, with greater continuity. This will allow them to reach the playoffs, starting on April 12th, well-trained.
This week captain Vujevic will also face a friendly match. Tomorrow night, at 7 PM, Sir will play in the PalaEstra, in Siena, for a test against Emma Villas Chiusi. This club has been close to President Sirci’s for a long time, highest-ranking team in their B1 round, one of the favourites to pass to the next category. It is also a team of a good level, with many players who played in A league, like Scappaticcio, Spescha, Di Marco, Braga, Lipparini, Grassano and the former black-and-white Pochini.
This event, promoted by the society from Chiusi, will be quite pleasant and should be followed with interest. There will be many initiatives, before the game, organized by the supporters and it will be an absolutely useful test for Perugia. Grbic will be able to send in all the players he has available and test technical and tactical situations and solutions, in view of the away game in Modena, vital crossroad for the fourth place.
The match in Verona for the fourth place of the regular season is a key in the team’s thoughts. There are three games left before the end of the championship for Perugia (with 42 points), that will have to face the away games of Monza and Molfetta and the derby against Città di Castello on March 29th, on the home field of PalaEvangelisti. Verona, now with 44 points, will instead play two games, since they have a rest day to follow this Sunday. After that they will play against Modena, at the head of the ranking, and they will have their last game in Sansepolcro.
With three full victories, so with 9 points, Sir would classify fourth for sure. The calculations are instead more difficult in case of different results, since the two teams right now have the same number of games lost (7). Verona has an extra victory but they also played a game more. They also have the same set ratio (50 won and 31 lost for Verona, 50 won and 30 lost for the black-and-whites), so each partial will be extremely important to define the final ranking.
For the Block Devils it is extremely important right now to find their bounce and brilliance again and get back to showing the nice and concrete game we admired up to last week. The team that wants to be protagonist from now until the end of the season will train with this goal in mind.
