Allerta massima dunque in casa bianconera.

TWO DAYS LEFT UNTIL THE CHALLENGE AGAINST PIACENZA. BERETTA SAYS: “THIS MATCH IS OF PRIMARY IMPORTANCE FOR THE RACE TOWARDS THE FOURTH PLACE”

It’s the day before the eve of SuperLega for the Block Devils. They are called to play on Saturday night for the early game of the 8th return match day of the championship. The black-and-whites’ central: “It will be tough because Piacenza, even though it’s not in a good place right now, is a strong and skilled team, with players so important that they don’t even have to be named. The Champions League? Honestly, we have not even talked about it yet”.

PERUGIA – The return on the field is getting closer for Sir Safety Credito Cooperativo Umbro Perugia.

President Sirci’s Block Devils are busy training for Saturday’s competition, the early game of the 8th return match day of SuperLega, against Piacenza.

The starting whistle at 8.30 PM will sanction the beginning of the first of the two back-to-back home-field games that the black-and-whites are called to play. On Wednesday, March 4th, they will face Belchatow in the PalaEvangelisti, for the first leg of the Playoff 6 of Champions League.

Copra is still an excellent team and of great quality, with expert athletes like captain Zlatanov, Papi, Tencati, the Brasilian libero Mario Junior and the Cuban opposite Poey, but the latter had not been enrolled yet during the first leg. Let’s not forget that the playoffs are the last goal left for Piacenza in this season. This will push President Molinaroli’s team to play all its cards, in order to reach the qualification to the after season that assigns the “tricolour”.

The middle blocker Thomas Beretta explains the several hidden dangers of the match:

“As always, life is never easy on the field, in Italy it’s just how it is. It will be tough, because Piacenza, despite the fact they are not in a good place, is a strong team and skilled team, with players so important that they don’t even have to be named. For us it’s an important game, since we have to try to get the fourth place back. We are working a lot and Saturday we have to try to impose our game and dictate the course of the game. The most important technical and tactical aspects? Serving is always of extreme importance because it would allow us to work well in the correlation of attack and defence. It’s also vital that we try to limit their offensive play, especially the main attackers, Zlatanov and Poey”.

Beretta’s words confirm that right now everyone in Sir is concentrating on the game against Piacenza:

“Honestly, we have not even talked about the Champions League yet. First we have the match on Saturday and, even though it may sound like a set phrase, we have to think about one match at a time. It’s pointless to think about it too far in advance”.
